- Regarding the structure of center blocks: 
- Hoop type: (width) Center blocks for Traditional Rims are approx. 5mm shorter. Center blocks for Comfort Curve Rims need to be wider.
- Shell radius: The ends of each block are fitted exactly to the shell radius. 
- Fiberglass Bongos are also equipped with wooden (Siam Oak) center blocks.
- Width: for Comfort Curve Bongo Rims (+5 mm)
- Material: Wood species of the shell
- Shell radius: 7" & 8 1/2" crowns (7 1/4" & 8 5/8" LP manufacturer information)
