The late Carlos “Patato” Valdez’ remarkable career and ground-breaking multi-conga technique has inspired countless drummers, percussionists, and music lovers. His contribution to Latin music includes a unique “melodic” approach to conga playing, and has enabled his legacy to live on through his music.
